2024 SEASON

The Bed and Breakfast:

The Bed and Breakfast opens for the season on the Victoria Day Long weekend May 17th and weekends only until June 28th where we switch over to whole home rentals for the balance of June and all of July and August and to September 8th 2024.

We then re-open the Bed & Breakfast on September 3th, weekends only until end of November.

THE CARPENTER’S ROOM

Inspired by Glen’s love of wood the Carpenter’s room is the coziest of the three rooms at Away in the County. Maple Floors, reclaimed wood queen-sized bed, and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

$300\night plus HST and MAT

THE ARTIST’S ROOM

Inspired by Susan’s love of art, the Artist’s Room displays the work of a variety of artists. This room has a cozy queen-sized bed, large sitting area and ensuite bathroom that includes a reclaimed clawfoot tub.

$350\night plus HST and MAT

THE GARDENER’S ROOM

Inspired by Susan & Glen’s love for gardening the Gardener’s Room is the most spacious of the three rooms at Away in the County and includes a king-size bed, sitting areas, large ensuite and the best sunsets.

$400\night plus HST and MAT

Maximum occupancy per room: 2 persons

2 night minimum stay.  No exceptions.

All bookings require a non-transferable or refundable $100 per room. The deposit is only applied to your invoice at the end of your scheduled stay.

Away in the County is not suitable for children, we provide an adult getaway for all our guests.

We are pet-free with the exception of our family dog , Monty.  Please note Monty is not allowed in the B&B portion of the home.

Cancellation Policy: All Bed & Breakfast bookings require a $100 deposit per room. This deposit is NOT refundable if you cancel for any reason. The deposit is also not transferable to another date. It will only be refunded against your bill at the end of your scheduled stay. Otherwise our regular cancellation policy is in effect, which is 7 days in advance of your check in time of 4pm on the day of your arrival by telephone. (Email cancellations will not be accepted). If you cancel under the 7 days, we reserve the right to charge for the 1st night if we cannot re-book. This same policy applies to the use of gift certificates.
COVID-19- If you have to cancel due to illness, COVID-19 or otherwise you do not receive your $100 refund back. The same applies if you cancel under the 7 days, you run the risk of being charged for the 1st night's booking if we cannot re-book. The only circumstance whereby you would receive your deposit back is if we, your hosts, cancel due to illness or if we feel it is unsafe to open or are required to by the Province to close due to another COVID lockdown.

What is MAT? Effective February 1st 2021, the County of Prince Edward implemented a mandatory Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) of 4% on all accomodations in our region.
