Summer Dinner Series at chef Jamie Kennedy’s Farm in Hillier

“Many of our AWAY guests have attended these wonderful dinners and over breakfast the next morning have raved about this unique Prince Edward County dining experience.

                                                                         – Susan Wallis, owner AWAY in the County Bed & Breakfast

Chef Jamie Kennedy shares the beauty and bounty of his farm in Hillier, Prince Edward County through a series of Saturday evening dinners, commencing May 20th and continuing through the summer until October 7th.

Join Jamie and friends for an unforgettable Saturday in the County. Walk around the organic gardens and fields, up to the vineyard ridge for a sparkling drink and canapés, and then on to a lively evening feast seated in a rustic barn setting. Watch as your dinner is prepared, cooked outside over glowing embers.

With the same creative energy and commitment to service  excellence that he brought to his popular Toronto restaurants —  Palmerston, JK ROM, JK Wine Bar, JK at the Gardiner and Gilead Cafe + Wine Bar — Chef Kennedy turns his focus back to his farm to draw inspiration from the landscape and the bounty that thrives in its unique terroir.

Certificate of Excellence for a 2nd year in a row!

We did it again!

AWAY has been awarded for a 2nd year in a row the Certificate of Excellence based on the excellent reviews we have received in the last year.

Here are excerpts from some recent reviews this Spring:

“There are plenty of reasons to visit Prince Edward County and AWAY provides a perfect base from which to explore. But in and of itself, the opportunity to experience this B&B is reason enough to visit the area. Highly recommended.”

“I have been to many B&B’s and this one has been by far the best experience to date.  Bottom line, you won’t be disappointed! We will be back next year for sure.”

Thank you to all our guests who gave us such wonderful reviews!
